In the IIM course, you will master both the Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies, enabling you to become proficient in user-centric problem-solving and efficient startup development. You’ll gain insight into innovation processes and their applicability across various sectors and industries.

Understanding different types of innovation and their respective advantages and limitations will be at the core of your learning. Additionally, you will identify the critical success factors for international product development and develop a forward-thinking mindset, equipped with the tools necessary to align innovation with a firm’s strategy.

Throughout the program, you’ll strengthen your ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and transform innovative ideas into market-ready products. You’ll also examine how cultural differences influence innovation approaches, and develop the skills to manage financial planning and execution of innovation projects while meeting essential milestones. 

You will be divided in three teams made of four students, two economists and two engineers.

At first, the teams will be tasked with three different roles : communication (getting in touch with startups and advertising our work), organization (managing schedules and deadlines) and media (handling the website you are now on). 

Then, the call for start-ups will startups will begin. The objective of this phase is to find the three start-ups each team is going to work with through the semester. 

Once start-ups recruited, each team will be charged to meet the start-up they are teamed with and work on a DESK and FIELD research for them. Then, you are going to present the start-ups the results you obtained after a design sprint

The final phase will consist of preparing your meetings schedule in th US. Once all the information and content ready, it will be time to go out there and sell your start-ups idea on the San Francisco floor. 

At the end of the program, you’ll spend two exciting weeks networking in the United States, managing meetings and visiting top companies in the Silicon Valley.

Last but not least, catching a basketball game and strolling on the Golden Gate Bridge is highly recommended. This journey will empower you to thrive in the dynamic world of innovation!
